Bridges Out

Heres some shots from earlier this year. I did a contest late last year with the winners being Bridges Out. Shot in March, but edited very recently. I’ve been playing around with vsco alot (in lightroom 4), all these were done with that, plus a little of my own flare. :) I’ve been leaning alot towards B&W lately, converting almost all the images I shoot to it. Also the 4×5 Aspect ratio. Since working in a lab I find myself leaning further and further away from the traditional 2×3 ratio (longer) Its just such and ugly format, especially seeing it all day. I’m finding the 4×5 and 5×7 ratios alot more appealing and more stress is put on composition, 1×1 more so, but I’ll shoot that when I come to it. :P Baby steps ;) Anyways, here they are, all shot in Vancouver in the train yard by the home depot under 1st ave I think. just east of Science World.

Bridges Out

Been working with Bridges out for a while now, went and shot some promo style images near Downtown Vancouver on some tracks near their jamspace. Heres the first edited one.

Shot on my Canon 5d Mark 2 and 50mm f1.4 usm lens.
iso 200 f2.2 1/100 With a 580 ex2 in an umbrella I held up and left overhead.

I got to edit this one on the new lightroom 4, which is pretty sweet I must say. I stopped using lightroom 3 for a while and switched over to bridge for use of batch actions with Photoshop, etc. But I’m really liking lightroom 4, think I might stick with it for a while. And of course photoshop cs5. I’m excited for cs6, but this is still on helluva program.

Anywho, enjoy!
